Senior FP&A Analyst
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior FP&A Analyst (9 months contract) to provide interim support to a Japan Operations Finance team. About the Role As a Senior FP&A Analyst, you will partner with Operations leaders and regional finance teams to support budgeting, forecasting, reporting, headcount planning, and financial analysis.You will play a key role in ensuring financial visibility and supporting business decisions through accurate reporting and meaningful insights. Key Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted finance business partner to the Operations team, providing financial analysis and decision support.
- Monitor actual performance against budget and forecast, identify key variances, and provide actionable recommendations.
- Support monthly and quarterly reporting cycles, including preparation of management reports and presentation materials.
- Assist with annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes, including data consolidation, assumption reviews, and variance analysis.
- Partner with Operations, Finance, Accounting, and other cross-functional stakeholders to understand business drivers and ensure alignment with financial objectives.
- Develop strong relationships across teams to identify risks, opportunities, and areas for operational improvement.
- Provide ad hoc financial analysis and support for business initiatives and projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 6 years of experience in FP&A, financial reporting, business partnering, or a related finance function.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial modelling skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and deliver high-quality work within deadlines.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with Hyperion and/or Anaplan will be advantageous.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Proficiency in both Japanese and English . Japanese language proficiency is required as this role partners directly with stakeholders based in Japan on a daily basis. The successful candidate will be expected to participate in meetings, communicate financial insights, explain variances, gather business assumptions, and build strong working relationships with local Operations teams in Japanese. English proficiency is also required to collaborate effectively with regional finance teams and global stakeholders.
