Senior Software Engineer – Scala/Java

Job Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software applications using Scala/Java.

• Apply OOP, Functional Programming, design patterns, and clean code practices.

• Design solutions using Event Sourcing and CQRS principles.

• Write and maintain unit, feature, and automated tests using TDD/BDD practices.

• Work with Jenkins, Gradle, GitHub, Artifactory, and Ansible for development and deployment.

• Analyze and optimize existing code and improve application performance.

• Work closely with team members in a Scrum/Agile environment.

• Participate in technical discussions and clearly communicate solutions and designs.

Key Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in software development within financial services.

• Strong hands-on experience with Scala and/or Java.

• Good knowledge of Object-Oriented and Functional Programming.

• Experience with Event Sourcing and CQRS.

• Knowledge of design patterns, clean code, TDD, BDD, and ATDD.

• Experience with Jenkins, Gradle, GitHub, Artifactory, and Ansible.

• Good understanding of algorithms and code optimization.

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.

• Good communication and teamwork skills.

• ReactJS, AngularJS, Elasticsearch, AMPS, SQL, or capital markets knowledge will be an advantage.
