Accounts Executive

Key Responsibilities:

1. Accounting and Bookkeeping

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records in the accounting system.

• Handle accounts payable and receivable, including invoice processing and payment preparation.

• Prepare journal entries and reconcile general ledger accounts.

• Maintain proper documentation and filing of all accounting-related records.

1. Financial Reporting

• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

• Perform bank, supplier, and customer reconciliations.

• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.

1. Cash and Banking

• Handle petty cash, cash advances, and reimbursements.

• Prepare and process bank deposits, payments, and transfers.

• Monitor cash flow and report variances to management.

1. Taxation and Compliance

• Assist in the preparation and submission of GST, corporate tax, and other statutory filings.

• Support external and internal audit processes by providing necessary documents and explanations.

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and statutory regulations.

1. Administrative and Support Functions

• Liaise with suppliers, customers, and banks on accounting-related matters.

• Provide administrative support to the finance team and management when required.

• Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.

• 2–4 years of relevant accounting experience.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g. MYOB, Xero, QuickBooks, SAP, SQL).

• Knowledge of accounting principles and local tax regulations.

• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to meet deadlines.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
